Old Colonial cannons can still be found scattered randomly in Penang Island. This particular one about 3m in length sits on a concrete base high above the city and away from it all… hidden atop Penang Hill with its muzzle facing Georgetown. Once a colonial masters retreat, the hill gradually became an important tourism draw. Picture shows the a face off view of the old gun. ¬†Picture taken atop Penang Hill.

Inscribed on its waist is the crest of Queen Victoria, mother of King Edward VII of England.
