Motorcycles made its presence felt on the streets of Penang more than half a century ago and it brought smiles on the faces of many who were looking for a convenient and cheaper mode of transport to assist them through their daily activities. To the younger generation, it is this vehicle that paces their first step towards independence. Two motorcycles, three pillions is the title for this picture and yes! no doubt about it, there is one pillion extra concealed behind the rider of the left motorcycle but nevertheless, the expressions on their faces brought more contentment and delight than the fear of what accidents could unfortunately so arise. Especially so to the younger pillion without the helmet who sat on it for the first time. Picture taken at Jln Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang.
