The new Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani temple sited on an 11acre hill land overlooking Georgetown has been cited as the largest Lord Murugan temple outside India. Boasting a seven storey main tower with more than 500 steps leading to it, devotees are greeted with a two storey high Lord Shivas statue at the main entrance with other older shrines scattered along the way. Thousand are expected to throng the temple yearly. Picture taken at Lord Murugan’s Temple, Waterfall Road, Penang.
